As part of graduate education restructuring, access to digital scans of the Graduate School’s student files is now available to academic program staff and appropriate college staff in students’ new college homes. These files include such items as petitions, exam forms, and language certifications.
Programs/departments are responsible for ensuring appropriate faculty and staff have access (DGS, GPC, etc.)

- Sign-in using your UM X.500 if using the above link; otherwise, WorkflowGen sends an automatic email directly to your UMN email account requesting action.
- DGS’s and GPCs are able to arrange to “delegate” decisions in the portal.
- The definition of workflow, within the context of the graduate education transition, is to automate the process of recording student information to the system of record.
- As of July 2012, registration exceptions, doctoral oral prelim exam scheduling, doctoral final exam scheduling, change of adviser, and the committee membership are the graduate education processes in WorkflowGen. Future tasks moving to WorkflowGen include the degree program form during the academic year 2012-2013.
